The existing house
A lake-community house works when the kitchen, the rear elevation, and the outdoor kitchen are one job. The island opens to the water, the grill sits on a drained patio, and the bath is level with the floor. The house faces the lake.
These are existing lake houses. One job opened the lanai and put the outdoor kitchen under the same tile roof. Lake Butler rebuilt the house on the water after a sinkhole under the master bath, including new windows and a new clay-tile color.
