Lake Butler House

An open bathroom on Lake Butler in Windermere — angular walls answered by a ceiling that actually belongs to them.

The room had the water and the geometry. It did not have a ceiling, a wet plane, or a finish that agreed with the walls.

We drew the bath to the existing angles instead of fighting them. One drawing. One crew. The house on the lake still reads as the house on the lake.
