Windermere whole-house renovation

In Windermere the house has to work indoors and out on the same axis. This renovation opened the arched lanai to the lake, put the outdoor kitchen under the same tile roof, and finished a wet room in the house so cooking, the pool, and the water sit on one plan.

Part of our renovation & remodeling work in Windermere.

Scope

Whole-house renovation on a Windermere lake house.

Objective

Put the indoor kitchen, the lanai, and the outdoor kitchen on one line to the water.

Before

Kitchen, rear elevation, and outdoor kitchen were at risk of being bid separately, so the house never quite faced the water.

The result

Arched lanai opened to the lake, outdoor kitchen under the same tile roof, wet room in the house.

Accessibility

The wet room is in the house. You walk in on one floor, and the window can turn white when you want privacy.

Smart-home safety

The window is smart glass. It goes white for privacy and the Florida sun, and clear when you want the light.

Materials

Cream stucco and a tile roof. The outdoor kitchen is under that roof, with the lanai.

Result

One elevation from the kitchen to the lake. The outdoor kitchen sits under the lanai roof.
