Lake-house renovations in Windermere — a whole house on the water, and the Lake Butler curbless wet room.
Two Windermere houses. One opened an arched lanai and put the outdoor kitchen under the same tile roof, with a wet room in the house. The other is Lake Butler: a curbless wet room drawn to the existing walls. Both are renovations of houses that were already there. License CGC1531832.
Windermere lake houses have to work inside and out. A kitchen, a lanai, and an outdoor kitchen only face the water if they are one job. At Lake Butler, the porch under the master bath had failed. We repaired that structure and rebuilt the bath as a curbless room open to the lake.

Kitchen, rear elevation, and outdoor kitchen were at risk of being bid separately, so the house never quite faced the water.

Lake Butler House — Windermere whole-house renovation
The homeowner wanted to stay in the house on the lake. The porch under the master bath had failed. The bath is now a curbless room open to the water.
A sinkhole had opened under the back porch. The master bath sat on top of it. The windows were due, and the shower still had a step.
The house stayed on the lake. The failed porch is now beams and columns, and the master bath is a curbless room open to the water.
