The homeowner wanted a safer bath that still felt like a primary suite. Before, there was a garden tub, wallpaper, and a separate shower you had to step up into. We took the threshold out and rebuilt it as a roll-in, wheelchair-accessible shower in stone and glass. You can walk or roll in, and it still looks like the main bathroom.
Get into the shower without a step, including by wheelchair, without giving up a primary suite.
Before
A garden tub, wallpaper, and a separate shower you had to step up into.
The result
The tub and the step are gone. The shower is one stone-and-glass wet room you can walk or roll into.
Accessibility
Roll-in and wheelchair-accessible. The opening and the floor are clear.
Smart-home safety
The safety is the room itself: one floor, no step, and space to walk or roll in.
Materials
Stone and glass.
Result
A garden tub and a step-in shower became a roll-in wet room. The before photo is the tub. The after is the open shower.
“My bathroom remodel is a dream come true. It is exactly what I hoped for, only better. And they were so easy to work with! I'm already discussing a kitchen remodel with them to complete next.”
